Hey friends and partners in ministry. Thank you for praying for us. We firmly believe that you are impacting the Kingdom for the glory of God by interceding on our and our neighbors’ behalf. We have really seen the activity of the enemy trying to thwart our efforts. Your prayers are battling for us. Yet, we have had a really fun and fulfilling last 30 days. Kingdom work is never easy, but when the Lord is in your efforts it really is fun. We are having such a great time being a neighbor. Most of our neighbors comment, “I wish we had more neighbors like you.” That’s my goal that we have a neighborhood filled with born again believers taking the Lord’s Commands and Commission to heart. I believe the neighborhood can be completely transformed with the gospel. Then we can send families into other neighborhoods to replicate what has been accomplished here. We are finding nothing happens fast when you approach ministry in an organic place based model, but the Lord has been answering your prayers. Answered prayers:
Prayer Requests:We do have specific prayer requests that we ask you to intercede on our behalf. Our request is that you pray at least 3 times a week for us.
Pray for us as we plan a neighborhood Easter event on April 15th. We plan to have an Easter egg hunt and neighborhood gathering at our neighborhood park. We plan to have a sack race, hula hoop contest, family photo booth, treat bags for parents, and free snacks and drinks in addition to the Easter Egg Hunt. Bud will also be sharing the gospel with all in attendance using an Easter egg as a visual aid. Below are specific ways you can pray for this event.
We are so grateful for your willingness to pray for us and our community. Please feel free to share these requests with your small group, church, or Sunday school. Don’t hesitate to reach out and be an encourager to us. The enemy attacks when a Christian does things in the name of Jesus for the expansion of His kingdom. Knowing that people are advocating to the Lord for us helps us stay strong. Until the work is done, Bud and Jessica Houston |
