Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. The last month has been a stagnant and challenging one. We have been under attack from the enemy. He attacks our families and friends. He distracts us with busyness. He makes us question our call and tries to give us an alternative task that is not from the Lord. Yet, we are firm and confident in the fact that in the Lord’s timing we will reap a bountiful harvest to train and send out to make disciples for His glory. In our conversations, we can tell the Lord is stirring in hearts. It’s so exciting to see the people the Lord brings into our path. We are speaking with people who the Lord has placed a desire for the mission and discipleship. It’s encouraging to see the Lord working in the lives of those who are not following Him as well as those who are following Him. On a more positive note, those who know me (Bud) well know that I love teaching the Bible. I have and continue to have opportunities to lead small groups in the Bible. God calls us to make and multiply disciples. I am starting with a new group this week using and teaching the Discovery Bible Study Method. My goal is to see this group multiply and grow in their confidence in rightly dividing the Word. Please pray with us for:
In closing, I was recently reminded of the story of when the Amalekites attacked Israel in Exodus 17. As long as Moses held up his hands, Israel prevailed, but whenever he put his hands down Amalek prevailed. Moses hands grew heavy, but Aaron and Hur supported his hands. Lifted hands in the Bible often are a reference to prayer and praise. When our hands get tired, you serve as our Aaron and Hur. When you celebrate what God is doing (praise) and pray for us you are helping us hold our hands up so we may see the Kingdom come in our neighborhood. The darkness will not prevail. When the Israelites defeated Amalek, Moses built an altar and named it, The LORD is my Banner. We know the war is already won. Thank you for your support as we stand in our neighborhood and proclaim, The LORD is my Banner! |
